He Keeps You… So You Can Keep On

Genesis 28:15 –Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Jeremiah 33:3

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
Jeremiah 29:11-13

The scripture says God will not only keep you, but He will be with you until He has done what He has spoken to you.  But the question is what has God spoken to you? Not just now in the present, but more importantly what did He tell us in childhood; in our teenage years; in young adult ministry; through our family and friends; years ago, months ago, even weeks ago that we doubt, have forgotten, don’t believe or have lost focus of?  He told some of us we would lead thousands, some  would heal nations, some we would display His love to the world through gifts of nuturing and hospitality, display His beauty through our creative gifts, use us to educate and prepare the next generation to continue the legacy of expanding the Kingdom, some to multiply resources and bring abundance through gifts in the financial arena, gifts of  leadership and administration, reach the most unreachable, those shrouded in darkness while some of us will simply be a blessing by the technical skills and work of our hands.

It may seem like we are stagnant, we wonder God,  how long before you do what you promised and it feels like the God who said He would never leave or forsake us has seemingly forgotten us. But trust that God will make every provision to execute His plans for His chosen vessels. That is all of us folks. We are all chosen! It is just for us to choose Him back! He will be Jireh and provide for the healer so the healer can heal His people. He will give clarity and guidance to the leader so he can successfully lead the masses. He will open doors for the evangelist to step through and display His glory, He will make a way for the psalmist to ministry in psalms, etc., etc. The process can be heavy, annoying and just plain confusing, but if we allow the process to accomplish what it is designed to accomplish, it will bring us to our expected end and God will be glorified.

God is  always speaking over us, through us and to us.  He will continue to do so until our last breath. Take comfort in knowing that based on His word which is true, He will never leave us or forsake us. His Spirit sings over us!  May He perfect everything concerning you and His grace be sufficient for all of your needs.
Oh what a feeling to be kept by the Master…and yet still I rise.

With peace and blessings may you continue to rise always,
